This would run great on Linux handhelds. Would you consider allowing us to include the game files in our PortMaster packages? PortMaster is a project to bring modern games to Linux handhelds https://portmaster.games

i'm REALLY late to this game, but it still is REALLY Good. honestly feels like something I would buy off of steam for like $5.

I can't wait to play it!

Nice game.Would you make games for Playdate??A new console made by panic.

hell yeah I will! :) I preordered one right when they became available!

(+1)

Is there any other platform where I can follow your project??Thanks

Actually, the best way to keep up with my work is through my new studio, Snoozy Kazoo! Here's a link to the website that has everything else on it as well! :)

I have joined the snoozy kazoo on discord.

Niice. I like how smooth and responsive everything is, the audio design is really good. A bit of the weirdness reminds me of some of Cactus' old games before hotline miami. Dimension switching enables/disables certain instances? How did you do the trippy graphics, is it an animated overlay for the noise, and the lights are drawing a black square over the screen, then drawing a circle that cuts out of that square? thanks

(1 edit)

Thank you! :D It means a lot to be compared to someone who made a game I really enjoy haha!

Dimension swapping swaps out the masks of specific objects, and the object just doesn't draw itself. It was a quick implementation that probably could have been done better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You guessed the visuals spot on haha! The static, bars, and vignette are simply overlays, and the lighting is a surface of solid black that I just punch out the current sprite of each light on.

Hope this helps! :)

Great game! I'm proud to say that this game is the topic of the first episode of Hybrid Plays!

Thank you! I'm honored to be the first episode, and I can't wait to see where the channel goes! :)

You made a really good looking and very enjoyable game to play, you should make more games like these, it's absolutely amazing and deep.

~Congratulations

Thank you!!! :D I'm really happy you enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing! :D

What a polished, well crafted little game! Nice work. I enjoyed it and sometimes wish more games were this short and sweet but as cleverly designed.

This was a neat little platformer! Reminded me a lot of the game Eversion...only less twisted ^^ I liked how open the world felt at the beginning, then expanded more as you progressed...definitely a nice touch!

I made a let's play of my run through it. I hope it helps!

Thank you for playing and making a video! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

Games story is Beautiful and Sad. This game is greatest game i'vebeen played in my life. Maybe.. Developer is creating a part 2 outside of caves, that's what I think. Good gaming ~Liquidus

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D I don't have any plans to make a sequel right now, but that could change? Haha. :P

Wait a minute... Games name is "iii". So first "i" is first part in caves, another "i" is sequel outside of caves and third "i" is triquel in clouds? Or... Games "iii" are: first "i" is first eye that sees first dimension, next "i" is next eye that sees dimension number 2, and "i" number 3 is an eye that sees third dimension... That coulds be a theory for this game? Or just my mind is so duuumb. P.S. It may couldn't be a true about game... Lol

Haha, your second theory is correct! :)

Thanks for all your hard work making this, just played through and loved it :) Had such a wonderful sense of atmosphere too!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

This was a cute fun little game. Very nice style, very smooth feeling controls.

@Yukon W. I wanted to let you know I encountered a pretty silly issue. I managed to get the flower early by jumping off a bat, and missed the power I should have gotten. By the time I got to the present, I was stuck (not enough bats to save me!) =P Wasn't much trouble to start over though.

Thank you! I'm sorry that happened to you... :O I didn't even realize that was possible, haha. I could make it so that enemies don't chase past a certain distance, but that might make them too easy to deal with... :/

Anyways, thank you so much for playing and for the report! I hope you enjoyed it! :D

We made a video of our experiences. We hope you like it as much as we liked your game!

Hi! This game is a really cool game I have a great time playing it! I like the concept of the game and would be awesome if more features are added and I made a video on youtube in INDONESIAN! Check it out! TERIMA KASIH!

Thank you for playing and posting it on YouTube! Unfortunately I don't know a lick of Indonesian, but I really appreciate you bringing iii to a whole new audience! Thank you! :D

Nice game. the art is just gorgeous love this game :)

(+1)

Thank you for playing iii! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm sorry it was kinda tough, I'm still learning how to make really good platforming, haha.

(+1)

This was gorgeous! Simple yet addictive and alluring, you've done a cracking job on this =) I loved every second of it (even the bits that made me pull a little bit of my hair out haha!)

Keep up the fantastic work!

It feels really cozy playing it. The characters are charming and the game mechanics are simple but effective. I really enjoyed it. :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

This art looks absolutely phenomenal. I will definitely take a look at this once I get my hands on my windows machine. What did you use to make your game/art?

Thank you! :D I made the game in GameMaker Studio 2 and cranked out the art in Aseprite! :)

This is a fantastic game with a large world with a character who's abilities are constantly expanding. I love the art-style and map design, it all ties together perfectly. My only complaints are the snails go a little fast for what they are and the lighting around the character feels a little restricting. Other than that, the game outdid itself for a Ludum Dare game. 10/10

Thanks! :D
