The Hand Job!
A downloadable game for Windows
You are an important figure in a parade running through a run-down city. You were told to sit there and wave at the people attending. However, people start throwing weird signs at you and you must do your best to mimic them... Because PR? I don't flipping know.
Anyways, if you don't match their signs they start to seriously dislike you, even going as far as hiring a sniper to take you out. That's a normal thing, right?
Also to make matters worse, your management doesn't trust you to keep waving at the folks, so they strapped a bomb to your chest which explodes if you don't. I'm pretty sure that's normal, as my team strapped one to me when making this game so I won't stop coding. That's not normal? SEND HELP!
Also we made this in like less than 48 hours for Global Game Jam 2017. Theme was "Wave". Just sayin'.
Controls:
Smack the Q, W, E, R, and Space buttons to control your sausage fingers. Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys to move your arm.
F1, F2, F3, and F4 to make the pixels larger or smaller. You can even make them big enough to fill your screen! gasp
Credits:
Yukon Wainczak: Programmer.
Anthony Bockley: Artist.
Dylan Grasso: Artist/Designer.
Arya Maoz: Inspiration.
Logan Dahlgren: Table Chauffeur.

Even with the very suggestive title ( ;P ), I loved this little entry for the Global Game Jam 2017! It was always a little fight with the controls, but it was so worth it. :D The pixel art was gorgeous and the QWOP-like gameplay brought me always to the border of frustration and amusement, what I really liked. <3 That's why I wrote a little article about your game and also uploaded a gameplay video. :) Keep up the good work!
Best wishes,
Sebastian
Thanks for playing and writing up an article! It means a lot! :)
You're very welcome. <3
really nicely done animations and color composition! And it didn't take forever until I figured out the controls - yay! :D
GG guys ^_^
What a juggling act! Some people said that it was impossible to both wave and gesture at the same time AND... I'd have to mostly agree, although with practice (how many employees can the management throw at this thing?) I managed to slightly improve.
Funny game, interesting idea, amazing graphics. It's hard to believe this game was made in 48 hours. The game could definitely be more difficult as it feels far too easy in its current state, but it's still good fun!
